Login and ABOUT US

The app is intended to harness the benefits of social media in order to increase the network of animal fosters. Fostering is beneficial for all: shelters who are overcrowded, recent graduates who don't want to make the long-term commitement and animals who need some love and affection.

Set up with a news feed, the app promotes a community of sharing in order to raise awareness for the animals in need of a home. This allows them to be more social and exposed to the world, thereby finding a potential adoption match. We make this process easy by having share, favorite, comment and info buttons on the bottom of each post. Users can also swipe the post right in order to show that they like a post. This promotes fostering by showing us which animals need extra promotion.

Finally, users will have a profile page in order to help shelters decide whether or not the postential foster will be a good fit with the animal. It will also benefit the user because it will keep track of the animals that they have liked in order for them to go back and pick one that they would like to foster.

When a user clicks on the information icon at the bottom, the post spins around in order to provide more details about the animal in the gif. This will promote a deeper connection to the animal and a stronger desire to foster the animal or share it with those that may be interested.

Does your shelter experience overcrowding and could it benefit from more fosters?

Can the employees help maintain the foster database of their shelter? If not, can volunteers be given acess to that database?

Would your shelter be interested in getting involved in this service? If so, through how many people will it have to get approved.

Please provide your answers to these questions below and any other feedback that you may have.

Thank you! FosterFind Team.
